Description: Offered is an original 21" X 17-1/2" Buick transparency, of a Red/Wht '55 Century Riviera. This item would be mounted in a 29" X 25" light box, either hung on a wall or rested on a flat surface, and put on display in a Buick dealership. The light boxes at that time were a rectangular metal box that contained two incandescent light bulb sockets, with a wide wooden picture frame molding attached to the open side. The transparency has a 1-3/8 wide thin cardboard frame attached to it, and this would have slid into a slot created in the wood frame. The transparency would have been illuminated from the backside, and the result would be a fabulous colored picture of the model selected. The photo doesn't really replicate the actual result.
