The New York World Telegram and Sun said Mar. 30 that "not one child who received the Salk Polio Vaccine during last spring's nationwide tests contracted the dread disease," the copyrighted story in the Scripp-Howard Newspaper, written by staff writer William Michelfelder said, "this is the heart of the Francis report, to be released April 12, which evaluates the drug." Test results were forwarded to Dr. Thomas Francis Jr of the University of Michigan, some one million children took part in the tests.
