Description: 1955 Stardust Hotel and Casino Complimentary Guest Coupon Books Las Vegas NV This lot is a pair of 1955 complimentary coupon books that were given to guests at the famous Stardust Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The date is established by the presence of the first coupon on the smaller book. It is for champagne at the Morocco Casino across from the Stardust. This casino opened in 1955 and closed in 1956. The coupon books are in the original envelope from the Stardust which still has the registered guest's room information stapled to the back flap. The envelope is approximately 4" tall by 7.5" wide. The larger Fun Book is approximately 3.25" tall by 7.25" wide. The smaller booklet is approximately 5.5" tall by 2.75" wide. The Stardust Hotel and Casino, once a prominent landmark on the Las Vegas Strip, opened its doors in 1958. Known for its iconic signage and vibrant, space-themed decor, the Stardust became a symbol of the glamour and excitement of Las Vegas. It was famous for hosting extravagant shows, including the Lido de Paris, and for its association with organized crime, which added to its allure and mystique. Over the years, the Stardust saw numerous renovations and expansions, solidifying its place in Vegas history. However, in 2006, the hotel was closed and subsequently demolished in 2007 to make way for new developments, marking the end of an era in Las Vegas entertainment. All our items are kept in a smoke-free and pet-free environment.
