This map opens to 16½" x 15½" and has good detail on old highway alignments, along with a directory of interchanges, service stations, and restaurants. The Turnpike's Northeastern Extension was still under construction when this map was printed. On the reverse side there is a toll schedule and summary of traffic rules and regulations. The map was published in 1956 by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, Harrisburg, and is dated by the code number in the lower margin: 6-1-56.
