Actresses -- Santa Monica, Calif. - Estranged wife of TV star Jim Arness tried to kill herself here 4/4 for the second time by swallowing overdose of barbiturates because "life isn't worth living." Mrs. Virginia Arness, 38, was found semi conscious by her maid in bedroom of her Pacific Palisades home. She was taken to Santa Monica Receiving Hospital after informing maid she had gulped 15 pills. She did not say what kind of barbiturates they were. Police said they had found three suicide notes in Mrs. Arness' bedroom. She was listed in fair condition at hospital.
