Description: Vintage 1956 Washington State Rifle Ass'nMarksman TeamMedal with Original Box The medal features a nice depiction of a prone shooter with an American Eagle above him. The medal is in its original presentation/display box. The box has a heavyweight brass trimmed lid with clear plastic window - marked "V.H. Blackinton & Co" by the manufacturer of the medal. SIZE: The medal measures 3 7/8" in length and just under 1 1/2" in width at the widest point. The box measures 2 1/4" by 4 3/4" in size.CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition. The medal looks like it has been stored in the original box since it was awarded in its day. The metal shows very minimal wear and the ribbon is still bright and vibrant with minimal fading. The silvertone metal does have some minor toning and a darkened patina from age. Also, the back of the medal has a slightly curled edge - simply a manufacturing anomaly (see photos).
