Written and illustrated by Ernest Howard Shepard, an English artist and book illustrator best known for his illustrations of the anthropomorphic animal and soft toy characters in The Wind in the Willows and Winnie-the-Pooh. CONDITION In the original green cloth binding. Externally, very smart with minor wear to the extremities. Original price-clipped dust wrapper is also smart with light wear and the odd small closed tear to the extremities. Light sunning to the spine with the odd small mark to the panels. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with light age toning to the endpapers.
