The coin depicts the national assembly building, located in Cairo Egypt, with a radiant sun behind it. The coin commemorates the inauguration of the building and is actually a commemoration of the first parliamentary year in the republic of Egypt. The coin is labeled (Gomhuriet Misr) Republic of Egypt. It is KM-389 and weighs 17.5 grams of 0.72 silver. It measures approximately 35 mm in diameter. Size and weight: This is a twenty five piastres, weighs ~17.5 grams of 0.72 silver and is ~35 mm in diameter. References: It is KM #389. Condition: A great looking coin with excellent eye appeal. I would grade it as a lustrous choice extremely fine with almost mirror like fields. The coin has some minor wear to the high points, some surface scratches and minor bag marks. It is beautiful with all of its details being well preserved and having nice luster. The coin is much better than the photos suggest. It does have a few minor scratches and some bag marks but some observable wear commensurate with its circulated status. Please see photo for additional condition information.
