1957 SYRACUSE FOOTBALL TROPHY 300TH WIN IN PROGRAM HISTORY 1957 SCHWEDES JSA

Description: This is a FANTASTIC AND RARE TROPHY PRESENTED TO SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY TO COMMEMORATE THE PROGRAMS 300th VICTORY AGAINST NEBRASKA IN 1957. The trophy is much nicer in person and in great overall condition, especially for being more than 65 years old. The trophy was acquired from the Captain of the 1959 National Championship team, Ger Schwedes. He has signed on the back in silver "OBTAINED FROM AL ZAK, GER SCHWEDES" Zak was the equipment manager for Syracuse at the time. It measures roughly 16 inches from top to bottom. There is a bit of the gold rubbed off the football and one scratch (see close up). The wood base and plate with info are in amazing condition. I hav seen a lot of these older trophies and the wood bases/plates are often scratched and all beat up. This was in Schwedes possession for decades and he obviously took very good care of it. SOLD AS IS. Trophy will come with JSA COA/COA CARD (II07530) guaranteeing the signature to be 100% authentic. JSA sticker is on inside. This is a must for any Syracuse football fan.
