Description: This week I'm offering a number of old non-sport cards from various vintage sets. In 1957, Topps returned to a favoite topic of theirs - Planes. They had previously issued a large set of airplane pictures in 1952 ("Wings"), and another the previous year, 1956 ("Jets"). Topps went for it again in 1957, issuing a 120-card set of colorful paintings of various jets, both civilian and military. The set was issued in two sixty-card series, with the second grouping somewhat more difficult to find. Also, there was a brief printing where the backs were printed in red rather than blue. The set remains popular with collectors to the present day. This lot consists of 32 different cards, including 10, 11, 13, 14, 17-19, 23, 24, 25, 28, 33-35, 37, 39, 41, 44, 48-50, 53, 59, 60, and high numbers 69, 81, 85, 86, 89, 91, 97, 103, 105, 106 and 109. The cards show soft corners, some have creases, and one has ink on the back. (See scans for condition). Still a nice starter set - for the most part, the cards present well. All in all, a set designed to appeal to any collector. This would be a terrific addition to any collection! Shipping will be combined for multiple purchases. Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
