Description: A very nice copy of RAINER MARIA RILKE POEMS 1906-26 published by the Hogarth Press of London. This is the 1959 second hardcover edition. The first was also published by Hogarth, in 1957. The book is still in its 25s dust jacket. Some spine fading with one small spot of missing paper. The front and back panels are very good. The jacket is in an older mylar book cover with some glue residue from the tape used to secure it. Clean throughout, though there are two very small foredge coffee spots. No foxing. No underlining. One previous owner's name on the front end paper. Not ex-library. Tight binding. Intact hinges. Size is approximately 5 1/2 by 8 1/2 inches. There are 402 numbered pages. A good item for any collector of modern poetry or Rilke's work in particular. Out of a prominent local book collector's estate. Please ask any questions you may have; I'd be happy to answer.
