Description: There are a bunch of different Richard Nixon lenticular flashers for a person to collect from when he was President Eisenhower's running mate in 1952 and '56, when he ran for president in 1960 and California governor in 1962, and president again in 1968 and '72. We have several in our eBay store. This one isn't seen as often since it has both the republican nominees, Nixon and Lodge on it with its clear plastic rim. It is 3" across with a campaign slogan and was made by the Cine-vue Company of Yonkers, New York. It's also got a GOP elephant mascot on the back urging you to "Vote Republican." The 1960 election pitted democrats John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson against republicans Richard M. Nixon and Henry C. Lodge. When the results came in it was so close that it was basically a tie, with JFK at 49.72% to Nixon's 49.55%. Even with all the voting irregularities surrounding the totals across the country, Nixon decided not to challenge the election and conceded the following afternoon. Think how history could have been dramatically changed if Nixon had challenged and then prevailed. No Dallas tragedy and also no Watergate. This is in nice condition but please look at our images to judge condition for yourself so you can be happy with your purchase as it's priced to sell. Shipping on it will be $5.50 sent well-protected with tracking. We are members of APIC and sell only authentic presidential (and other collectible) material so buy with confidence. And we'll be happy to combine S & H costs on multiple purchases even though eBay says we don't. We just give you a refund for any overpayment. 7282
