Don't miss out on the opportunity to own a piece of hockey history. Heavy felt numbers and Marlies crest with too many team repairs to count. *New information from fellow eBayer in Toronto* Although this jersey was game worn by the Marlies in the 1960s, he believes it’s actually from the 1950s Maple Leafs team. Pictured is Teeder Kennedy from 1954 with Toronto Maple Leafs printed in red stitching over the felt Maple Leaf crest. The crest on this jersey still has red stitching outside the crown logo on the top and bottom. It’s believed that the Marlies crest is simply sewn over the existing Toronto Maple Leafs, and the letters that weren't covered were crudely removed still leaving some red stitching. He also noted that the Leafs worn a similar crew neck collar in the 50s, changing to the tie-down in the late 50s though 60s. Recycling sweaters, especially wool sweaters/jerseys was very common during this era. Thanks for the info!
