Several years ago when the Dodgers would Spring train in Vero Beach Fl still, it was reported that Sandy pitched or threw to a catcher and they put the gun on him and he still was reaching 83 mph on "fastball". Not bad for about 60 yrs. old about at that time! This still nice looking card has NO creases, NO wrinkles, NO wax stains, and shows wear on 3 of the 4 corners. Somehow the upper right hand corner was spared much wear! Koufax retired after the 1966 season in which he won 27 games and since the Dodgers of that time would score but 10-12 runs a week, Sandy lost 9 games! Could have won 30. The buy it now price for this '62 Koufax is $69.70. I came up with this price as I'm 69 years old for the last day and Tuesday (27th) I'll be 70!
