Description: Hard-to-find passenger train timetable from the former St. Louis-San Francisco Railway Company, known as the "Frisco" railroad. The Frisco served nine states in the US Mid-west and South (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Kansas, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas) until it was acquired by the Burlington Northern Railroad in 1980; its surving lines are now primarily operated today by the BNSF. This timetable is dated October 1963 and contains all passenger train schedules for runs operated by the Frisco at that time. It includes both through trains and local runs, which were primarily mixed freight-passenger trains. For the main through trains, included are equipment manifests. The timetable includes coach and sleeping car fares; condensed passenger train schedules; connecting train information for Kansas City and St. Louis; condensed freight schedules; some great railroad period advertising; and a nice 2-page centerpage map showing the Frisco's trackage and service area. 1963 Frisco Railroad passenger train timetable (October) Click images to enlarge Description Hard-to-find passenger train timetable from the former St. The Frisco's primary passenger train was the famed "Texas Special", which was operated in conjunction with the Katy Railroad until 1964; this train ran between St. Louis and San Antonio and was the flagship train of both the Frisco and the Katy. Other named trains made famous by the Frisco include the Will Rogers, the Sunnyland, the Kansas City-Florida Special, and the Meteor. This timetable is dated October 1963 and contains all passenger train schedules for runs operated by the Frisco at that time. This timetable measures appx 9x4 inches and contains 16 pages, printed on both sides. The cover is a quality medium-weight paper stock, and the content pages are a newsprint-type paper. It appears to have never been used and is in excellent condition, with no rips, tears, writing, markings, spills or smears, quite unsual for something now almost 50 years old.
