1964 Proof Set, U.S. Mint 5-coins Flatpack

This is a 5-coin proof set that was acquired by me from another collector many years ago and has been stored to protect the coins and the original U.S. Mint packaging. The coins are brilliant with mirrored fields and lots of luster. The set contains three 90% silver & 10% copper coins, the Kennedy Half Dollar, the Washington Quarter and the Roosevelt Dime. The Jefferson Nickel's composition is 75% copper & 25% nickel and the Lincoln Cent is composed of 95% copper & 05% tin and zinc. Of particular note, this is the introductory year of the Kennedy Half Dollar and the only year until 1992 that the Kennedy proof coin will be 90% silver. The set is enclosed in a new-condition, unsealed envelope with the original packaging and the COA. Please remember when considering the purchase of a US Mint flat pack, the envelopes were sealed before they were delivered to the original purchaser. Therefore, original envelopes will either be sealed or opened by slicing one of the envelope's seams. When I acquired this set, its original envelope was unsealed and in poor condition. The blister pack containing the coins was in mint condition and to safeguard the coins, I chose to replace the envelope with a new, duplicate. This envelope has been left unsealed to signify that it is a replacement.The set pictured is the one being offered and it will be shipped with extra care to protect the OGP. Thank you for looking.
