Description: Handsome fold-out 1965 official highway map of Virginia, printed more than 55 years ago. This map opens to a generous 25¼" x 37½" and has great detail on old road alignments. There are inset plans of Lynchburg, Hampton Roads, Alexandria, and Richmond. It was published by the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Highways in 1965 and the cover photograph shows a car driving past a highway welcome sign. This map has been overprinted with details on the 32nd Annual Historical Garden Week, to be held April 24-May 1, 1965. This event was sponsored by the Garden Club of Virginia, and the map identifies dozens of locations open to the public during the week. Condition: This map is in excellent condition, bright, crisp, and clean, with no marks, rips, or tears. Please see the scans and feel free to ask any questions. Buy with confidence!
