Description: Up for your consideration is a fairly rare 1965 JMI Vox AC-30 Super Twin open back extension speaker cabinet. I obtained this cabinet from England earlier this year as part of a package deal. Matching pair of Celestion T1088 speakers with original cones in excellent condition, date coded 23BK = February 23, 1965. One speaker has a tiny tear/puncture about 1/4" in size but thankfully the resultant "flap" was solidly repaired prior to my ownership and does NOT affect tone/operation of the speaker. This cabinet was never mounted on a trolley but pilot holes on the inside of the cabinet could be used as a guide to drill for trolley thumbwheel mounting. Not that I would condone drilling a vintage JMI Vox cabinet but it could be done if absolutely required... Also note the Vox logo is a rarer variant with each letter being separate. Includes original JMI Vox cabinet cover which has a small tear on its side but otherwise is in nice shape. Everything I can see is original to the cab except for the feet and the output jack. The cabinet sounds as nice as it looks. Run it with an AC30 Super (Reverb) Twin head and give yourself the tone of an AC30 combo without the weight of a full combo.
