Manufactured by North American Aviation via a request from Great Britain in 1940. The Mustang went through several variations with the most significant was the Allison Engine being replaced by the 12 cylinder Rolls-Royce Merlin. The P-51 was used by many countries world-wide with the last ones being retired from military service in 1984. This kit is the NEW TOOL / FIRST EDITION of this spectacular model with only one other run in the 1970's prior to Aurora's demise. Originally designed as a U-Control aircraft using a .049 engine it was discontinued for one reason or another leaving Aurora deciding to continue the aircraft as a static model. SEE THE PHOTOS TO WITNESS THE KITS OVERALL GREAT CONDITION! I am listing this kit as NEW due to it's outstanding condition. The kit is 100% COMPLETE and Un-Started with the parts in exceptional condition. The box is in "Off the Dime-Store Shelf" condition showing only minor shelf-wear.
