1969 D KENNEDY HALF

Description: Here is a 1969 D Kennedy Half to add to your collection in this auction. This type was first introduced in 1964 and continues to date. The obverse shows the forceful bust of John F. Kennedy designed by Gilroy Roberts, chief engraver of the Mint from 1948 to 1964. His stylized initials are on the truncation of the forceful bust. The reverse uses the presidential coat of arms for the motif and is the work of Frank Gasparro, who was appointed chief engraver in February 1965. This Half Dollar denomination coin is .36169 oz. pure silver. This half dollar appears to be in a BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED condition. A real nice looking coin for a very popular and a great looking series. Photographer apologizes for any reflection of clothing, lights or staging area.
