Description: ULTRA RARE EXHIBIT CATALOG OF NOTED BULGARIAN ARTIST ILIYA PETROV, NICELY INSCRIBED AND SIGNED BY THE ARTIST HIMSELF. Using Google translate, the heading on the page where his inscription and signature appear reads: "Committee for Art and Culture Union of / Bulgarian Artists Retrospective of / the Exhibition of the People's Artist Ilia Petrov / Gallery Gurko Sofia No. 1 / September 1969" The best Google translate could do with the inscription is: "Ha Qunremo .. her family.... With Best Feelings". The inscription is in a purple colored ink, but the signature looks to be black crayon-like, rather than ink. A listing photo shows a close-up of the inscription and the signature. The colophon at the back of the book indicates a printing limitation of 1200 copies, published by the "Bulgarian Artist", Printed by the House of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Sofia The booklet is in FAIR TO GOOD CONDITION, and would be much better except for a moisture event which has left a stain outline on the back cover and then several pages into the book with some light waviness near the top page edge almost to the beginning of the booklet. Still a collection of stunning B&W examples of his work. The book is comprised of just this title/inscription page, a 4-page bio of the artist, and then the illustrations. Unpaginated with a total of 24 glossy leaves, or 48 pages.
