1970 Ford Mustang

Description: Original 1970 Mustang Fastback or as Ford called them that year, a Sportsroof available for an affordable price. It is an original Texas car that came with a V8 as evidenced by the vin, we believe it to be the original 302 but have not verified that. It is also equipped with a manual transmission which we believe is a three speed and most likely the original but again unverified. Being a Texas car it has not been exposed to salt like many of the northern cars so many portions are quite solid as you'd expect to find from a southern car. Unfortunately it had a vinyl roof installed which are notorious rust collectors, (this one was as well), so it will need a roof skin as you can see in the photos. It also sat for years with flat tires allowing weeds to grow into the floor pans and rust them out so it'll need floor pans as well. The hood hinges are weak and don't hold the hood up amongst many other parts that will need restored during the restoration. It is clearly a project as you can see showing various dents and dings and does not run. It rolls easily and steers properly so loading it should be a fairly easy task. I do have a clear Texas title for it in a previous owner's name from 1983. It is signed and undated so there will not be late fees for titling it. I would encourage anyone interested in the car to come and see it in person or have someone view it for you so you know exactly what it is and what it's not. It is being sold as a non running project car needing complete restoration. It is sold as is, where is, with no guarantees of any kind. A $100 deposit is due immediately upon purchase to dissuade recreational bidders and the balance due within 7 days or upon pick up whichever comes first.
