PRODUCTION DATE: April 1976 COMPATIBLE YEARS / MODELS: 1971-78 Eldorado, 1971-76 All Rear Wheel Drive Models (except 1976 Seville). CONDITION: This is a fully functional Original Equipment (OEM) Cadillac Driver Side Door Mirror. It's turning 49 years old soon (made in April of 1976) and certainly carries it's age quite decently. Functionally, it works great. The adjuster toggle lever flows nicely through all of the adjustable positions -- See VIDEO. Not sloppy or loose feeling. The chrome Toggle Lever is in excellent condition, and the mechanism beneath that is exceptionally clean for it's age. Overall the Mirror Head Housing is in great condition -- It's unusual in that it has NO PITTING / Pits on the top/bottom and both sides. In fact I can't really see much or any age haze either - great reflectivity. Again, no pits, just one scratch at the bottom rear corner that isn't very visible. The rear of the Head (which you mostly see) is Excellent. It's pretty much the same for the Mirror Base, with just a few micro pit starting in the curved areas. It has the original dated glass for the mirror, and it's reflective is pretty good. There might be a touch of paint overspray (black dots?) on it, so clean that off carefully. The base studs are strong and secure. Overall I'd rate this mirror in the high end of the "Very Good Condition" range. It has some light but common wear & tear (probably from a low mileage car). The wonderfully shiny chrome (with no significant pitting) & great functionality make this an ideal replacement mirror for a tip-top Cadillac~! GRADING: 8.5-9.0 on a 10 scale.
