Description: The program and line-up are in very good condition. The program content is as expected with stats, features, and previous race information. The advertisements in the era of the muscle car are a great feature. Numerous pictures were taken to assist with the condition and content of the program and lineup. The 1971 Rebel 400 was run on May 2nd at Darlington Raceway. Donnie Allison won the pole in the Wood Brothers Mercury and would dominate the race leading 250 of the 293 laps. Unfortunately for Donnie, he would have engine trouble and was passed by Buddy Baker with 11 laps to go. Buddy would go on to win the race in the Petty Enterprises #11, followed by Dick Brooks and Dave Marcis. Donnie would slip to fourth with Jim Vandiver finishing fifth. After the race, David Pearson and the Holman Moody team would split up after winning the title in 1969 together.
