Over time, the rubber rings become brittle and lose their elasticity, the ball becomes pitted which creates drag and prematurely wears the playfield surface. Additionally, a dirty playfield slows the ball movement and adds wear to the playfield, ball, etc. The lamps are an important part of game play, they light up special features and let you know which shots to shoot for. The original pinball manufacturers installed #44 bulbs out of the factory, however, many people like to install the slightly cooler #47 bulbs under the light shields to help avoid overheating the plastic light shields. While the #47 bulbs are slightly cooler they are also slightly dimmer, and so we provide you with both bulbs since they are completely interchangeable. When we shop out a machine, we install the cooler #47 bulbs in the light shields and the brighter #44 bulbs everywhere else. if you prefer all #47 bulbs or all #44 bulbs just send a "note to seller" at checkout and we will gladly exchange them at no extra charge. Flipper Rubber Color - This Tune-up Kit comes with all sizes and colors as provided from the OEM. If you prefer to change the flipper rubber color, just let us know at time of order, we will gladly change your flipper rubber color. Your choices are Red, Black or yellow.
