Description: This listing is for the Bill Boston touring bicycle frameset as shown. It dates from Feb 1978 (“78-B2”serial number ) and is in near mint original condition with only a few small storage scratches (see pics) to keep it from perfect. It is size 55 cm (c-c) x 54cm top tube , takes 700c wheels and has 120mm rear spacing. It is made of Reynolds 531 tubing. It is a high end model with internal gear wires ( perfect for integrated shifter setup) and fender and carrier attachments. The workmanship is fantastic and his bikes ride like a dream, I’ve had/ridden a few over the years. Something about a “constructeur “ bike that separates them from “production “ bikes. This was ordered direct from Swedesboro by the owner of the original “Pedalers Shop” in Glasboro NJ , Evan P who remains quite a character. This was ordered at the same time as his Rene Herse and whichever arrived first he would build/ride. The Herse was delivered first and the Boston was hung up for display in his shop for years. ( story directly from Evans mouth) I bought it in the 90s and always wanted to build it but ….life got in the way. My loss your gain. Way cheaper than a new custom frame. Payment to include $69 s&h in USA.
