The 1979 Season saw the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Baltimore Orioles 4 games to 3 in the World Series. Don Baylor won the MVP for the AL, while Willie Stargell and Keith Hernandez shared the MVP for the NL. Mike Flanagan won the Cy Young award in the AL, while Bruce Sutter was the Cy Young award winner in the NL. John Castino and Alfredo Griffin shared the AL Rookie of the Year, while Rick Sutcliffe was the NL Rookie of the Year. The condition of this program is EX.
