Description: Journey back to a historic "could have been" when you win the bid on this 90% solid silver proof set from the 1980 Moscow Olympics. This is the one the US boycotted. As you can see, the set remains in nice minty condition with a clean vinyl case that opens and snaps securely shut. Each coin is encased in a plastic case and none appear to have ever been removed from either their small cases or the larger red case. Also included is the original Important info pamphlet (clean but has some spotting), a COA in Russian and English, and four smaller cards that explain what is contained in each of the six series. Last, the original cardboard storage box is also included. It is a rather generic looking cardboard box. While intact, it shows some minor storage crush, a bit of light spotty discoloration, and some light edgewear on the flaps ends at the side you open. One edge of the flap also has a 2-inch tear in it. But overall, a fantastic piece Olympic memorabilia for your bidding pleasure. PLEASE NOTE: insurance will be required for this item.
