The ballet was the hit of Houston Ballet's New York debut recently. Choreographed by Londoner Ronald Hynd in 1979 for Houston Ballet, this work has been toured across the United States and Canada. It is a tale of a girl transformed into a butterfly under magic circumstances. The music is by Jacques Offenbach and has been arranged by John Lanchbery who also arranged the score for the film "The Turning Point." Houston, Texas. Choreographed by Ronald Hynd.
