Description: Painting was done on glass and I believe it was painted with oil paint. Backing was loose, so I removed the few nails that remained and saw that the painting was inserted into a frame that had housed a lithograph print earlier (please see photo); that has been returned to the frame and is used as backing. I've put back the nails, but buyer might want to add a couple to have it all more tightly put together. Glass measures 6" X 15", and is in a frame that is about 1 1/2" inches on each side. The colors are really nice, i think, and it has something very sweet and charming about it. From a Maine estate; haven't been able to learn anything about the artist. Second signature appears at bottom right--as though maybe someone wrote it in above Duckworth's own signature--not sure why that choice was made--perhaps to make it more visible in the frame--uncertain. Hope to find this a good new home! If my estimate of shipping cost is higher than the actual price, i will refund the difference to the buyer
