The club was active from approximately 1978-1988.SERIAL NUMBER: #055 of 300 (inscribed on the right front bolster).BLADES: Two: master clip point blade—3 1/4" long; spey blade—3 1/4” long.BLADE MATERIAL: Chrome Vanadium (Carbon) SteelOAL: 4 1/8"HANDLES: Cream White CompositionTANG STAMPS: “CASE XX” with the lightning “S,” nine dots, and USA with the lightning “S” (on the front tang of the clip blade); 4254 (on the front tang of the spey blade).SHIELD: Nickel Silver CASE Oval ShieldLINERS & PINS: BrassBOLSTERS: Nickel SilverSPECIAL FEATURES: Some deep acid etched filagree scroll/art work on the face of the master blade along with the words Golden Circle Knife Club 1983 1 of 300 filled with a gold color. It has a faint swedge on the master blade. The blades have received a mirror polish. YEAR OF MANUFACTURE: 1981 (the lightning “S’s” and the nine dots). AN INTERESTING NOTE: W. R. Case & Sons used a 1981 manufactured knife for a 1983 Club produced knife.BOX: None.CONDITION: Almost Mint. This knife has never been sharpened, carried, or used, still retaining the factory edge. The cream white composition handles have two issues: 1) there is a crack at the front side center pin; and 2) the handles are beginning to yellow somewhat, most notably the rear scale. The blades open and close with no wiggle, locking up tight. There is no rust or pitting in the blades, nor are there any spots or spider webs. There are very minute scratches on the bolsters (that won’t show up in a picture) where this knife has been displayed in a drawer for a number of years. There is very slight blade rub on the back side of both blades. PAYMENT: PayPal.
