The serial number is F320129 which dates it to 1983 – 1984. We tried it out and it is a wonderful amp and everything on it is working 100%. 1983-1984 Hand wired Fender SuperChamp Paul Rivera (not to be confused with the cheap SuperChamp x2) These were the 'boutique' hand wired amp of the day. Fender called in the well known amp guru Paul Rivera to add an additional foot switchable gain stage to these hand wired mini monsters. 1x10" Combo18 watt RMS Controls: volume (pull for lead), treble (pull for mid boost), bass, reverb, lead level, master. 1-input, 2-channel 1x 7025, 1x 12AT7, 1x 6C10 Triple triode and 2x 6V6 Solid-state diode rectified Accutronics 3-spring reverb Class AB, push–pull 1983-1984 Fender Super Champ in exceptional condition, it appears all original except for the cover which is a nice afertmarket padded cover. This amp is clean and complete with the rare two-button footswitch (with LEDs and switches for Reverb and Lead)! The early 1980s Paul Rivera designed Fender amps were innovative designs that took into account the needs of modern players, while also returning the Fender line to the classic Blackface look and a sweeter, more dynamic tone that the late Silverface amps lacked. The Super Champ has proven to be the most popular and enduring of Rivera's Fender designs, and the Super Champ has an incredible array of features packed into the 1x10 enclosure! Powered by a pair of 6V6 power tubes and pumping out a surprisingly robust 18 watts, the Super Champ is an amp with a very intuitive layout, making it easy to dial in the perfect Fender clean or lead tones. Clear and shimmering, the Super Champ has the quintessential Fender top end with touch sensitive dynamics and great clarity with a lovely tank reverb unit. Naturally the amp also gets some harmonic rich saturation, and usable gain is a true rarity on a Fender amp! The mid boost added a thickness to the cleans or real girth and grit to the lead channel.
