1984 George Orwell 1st British Edition/Printing With Dust Wrapper

Description: Orwell, George [pseudonym of Eric Blair]: NINETEEN EIGHTY-FOUR; London; 1949; Martin, Secker and Warburg, Limited Publishers; First Edition; "first published 1949" stated; first impression, with the Alcuin Press/Key and Whiting printing statement on three lines of the title page. Very Good to Very Good +, in green cloth-covered boards, showing a little fading to the edges of the fragile green cloth, and a tiny bump to the upper front board in Very Good dust wrapper, with the 10 Shillings price intact on the front flap, showing a little rubbing to extremities, a triangular chip to the head of the spine panel which does not even remotely encroach upon the text, and the usual fading always seen in this title. The jacket is unrestored with not a single spot of tape or evidence thereof. Priority Mail shipping includes insurance.
