We bid on several lots of items of an online estate sale/auction for a lady who had passed away by the name of Mary Clemon Payne back in 2018. Mary Payne was the Executive Secretary for the Stone Mountain Memorial Association when it was formed to run Stone Mountain in 1958. Some of you may recall one of the trains that ran at Stone Mountain that was named The Mary Payne Train. It has since been replaced of course, but the park named it after her in her honor for her years of dedication to the park. You can read Mary's obituary online to learn more about the wonderful woman she was.Mary had a plethora of incredible Stone Mountain memorabilia and we were able to obtain quite a few very cool items, many of which are certainly one of a kind. We will be listing some items over the coming days, so if you're into Stone Mountain collectibles, we guarantee you that we'll be listing some items you are all but certain to never see for sale again. Now onto the item for sale. For sale is a Stone Mountain Park information folder or packet from 1986.This folder includes a Menus Catering & Beverages booklet, 1986 Price Schedule booklet and Facilites Banquets & Meetings booklet and is an extremely rare item that you are all but certain to never see again, unless we decide to sell another one.As you can see in the pictures above, we also obtained Mary's name tag with her position of Executive Assistant on it as well and a picture of Mary looking out the window of the aforementioned The Mary Payne Train.PLEASE NOTE: The name tag and the photograph are NOT included with any envelope purchased, but are used as informational/provenance purposes only.The folder measures 12" x 9" and is in excellent, like new condition as are all of the contents. There is a small indention on the front cover of the folder, as shown in the pictures above. This item will be shipped in a padded envelope via insured ground advantage with the USPS.
