Description: This coin was issued to commemorate the introduction into circulation of a new, smaller five pence coin in 1990. Only 20,000 silver Piedfort coins were struck. This is a proof strike coin featuring Raphael Maklouf's portrait of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the second on the obverse. The reverse depicts the badge of Scotland, a thistle royalty crowned. The coin comes in a screw off capsule that it was only opened by me for pictures. This coin truly appears flawless, and any specs you might see in the pictures are dust specs I just couldn't get to leave me alone. Non-smoking home. The coin ships quickly, very well packed and protected.
