Known as one of thee rarest modern day baseball cards, this iconic Ichiro Media Event card was produced in 1995. At the time, there was an NBA exhibition in Japan, with budding Japanese baseball star Ichiro in attendence, Upper Deck used this opportunity to try to "woo" Ichiro to sign with them. This card was produced and the ENTIRE population given to Ichiro. This card was not intended to be circulated. The only way to acquire this card was directly from Ichiro himself. We assume this card was from Ichiro's personal collection, as that was the only way to acquire this card. These cards card be found on display at the Ichrio muesum in Japan and rarely ever seen publicly. This card is so scarce, even google images only has a few photos of this particular piece.
