Description: 19th Century Veuve Perrin Style HP Watteau Scene Castle Floral 8 Inch Plate Very nice faience plate in an Alt Brandenstein relief mold. Decorated with a hand painted scene depicting a courting couple in front of a stone monument or building with trees, and a castle with a bridge entrance over water in the background. With hand painted flowers along the border in pink, purple, yellow, blue, and red. Gold gilding along the edge. Marked on the reverse pseudo / spurious VP mark in blue. Has some wear to the gilding, minor wear to the paint, and a small gilded over flake to the edge. Otherwise good condition with no additional flakes, chips or cracks. Measures approximately 8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece. CS
