Description: 1/9th Plate Daguerreotype Picture of Woman and Baby Mid-1800’s Union Case The picture is 2” x 2.5”. I measured inside the mat and did not remove the picture from the case. The picture itself is very well preserved and the image is sharp and clear. There are a few spots from age. The outer portion of the union case is worn and the binding is coming loose. The latch works well and keeps the case closed securely. The velvet panel inside the case comes out but can be repaired. Will package well to prevent damage in shipping.
