It was previously called the Thunderbird until its purchase in 1976 and official re-opening in 1977. The estate eventually sold the hotel / casino to Ed Torres, who renamed it the El Rancho. This came from a sealed stock of 100 post cards identical all of them. They have been in storage for about 42 years and were from my late Mother's collection
