Description: Here is a wonderful copy of Lives And Letters by Robert Gottlieb. This is a first edition first printing as shown on the copyright page published by Farrar, Straus, and Giroux in 2011. Gottlieb was the editor in chief of both Simon & Schuster and Knopf as well as editor of The New Yorker magazine has has some absolutely entertaining tales to tell of his life in books and the entertainment industry in general. The binding is square, tight and the text is immaculate throughout. The mustard colored boards are spotless and the black lettering on the spine is in excellent condition as shown. The spine ends show some light wear and all four corners of this copy are quite beautiful. There is light soiling to the upper page block but nothing overwhelming. There are a few pages whose bottom edges have been “pinched” for lack of a better word but this in now way affects the text in any way. The dust jacket is complete and has the original price present on the front flap. This jacket has some wear mainly in the form of very light wear to the spine ends, a tear to the fold of the jacket at the front board end, and a scratch along the left side of the rear panel all of which I’ve included in the photos. A terrific read from a man who has worked with some very important writers during his career. Please see all pics and ask any questions you may have and as always I never list ex library or book club editions so buy with confidence. And please check out my 100% positive seller feedback!!! Thanks for looking.
