Description: 1st edition 1st printing Then And Now by W. Somerset Maugham!! Truly Nice Copy!. Here is a truly wonderful copy of Then And Now A Novel Of The Renaissance by William Somerset Maugham. This is a stated first edition as shown on the copyright page published by Doubleday in 1946. The binding is square and tight and immaculate throughout with the exception of the last page where a previous (perhaps the original ) owner left a bookmark from the old Pickwick Book Shop in Hollywood, California. I happen to love vintage bookmarks and this is very very nice I believe. Unfortunately the shading to the pages is evident. The black binding is spotless and the hold gilt lettering on the spine is in excellent condition as shown. There is very minor wear to the lower spine edge but it is minimal indeed. The dust jacket has been price clipped also as shown in the photos provided. There is wear at the spine top and bottom and light soiling to the rear panel. The general wear can be easily seen in the remaining photos. This copy will make a wonderful addition to any collection or library.
