Book number 9 of 1,125 copies issued by Easton Press as part of the Signed First Editions of Science Fiction series. Unfortunately, Ron Walotsky died in 2002. I miss his great artwork and talking to him at science fiction conventions. Synopsis: This collection features nine science fiction short stories by author Mosley who, apart from his sf novel BLUE LIGHT is primarily known as a mystery author. Publisher's Note: Nine interconnected short stories describe the high-tech world of the United States in the near future, capturing the lives and fates of such characters as Ptolemy Bent, a child genius whose merciful actions land him in a privatized prison, and Fera Jones, a heavyweight boxing champ who abandons the ring for a political career. Industry reviews: "...[Mosley] combines cyberpunk, fantasy, and the unsettling logic of dreams to create a startlingly inventive dystopia." New York Times Book Review - Nikki Dillon (11/25/2001) Condition: Binding - near fine, like new except for a little bit of very shallow denting to the side page edges. Dust jacket - none, as issued.
