These original vintage CTS faders were pulled from a vintage ARP instrument - most likely an Odyssey, Avatar or Sequencer. They are untested and are being offered strictly as is. One common problem we see with vintage arp faders is broken fader shafts. If you’ve got an instrument with broken shafts, these faders should be good for parts as their fader shafts are still intact. Another common problem we see is broken resistive elements causing poor fader response - some faders are so bad they act like on/off switches. If this is why you’re looking at this listing, make sure you pay attention to the fader specs (resistance value and audio or linear) and match it to the fader/s you’re looking to replace, HOWEVER, keep in mind it’s definitely possible the resistive elements inside the faders offered here are broken and beyond repair. We are selling multiple faders in a single pack to hopefully increase the odds that there will be at least one fully restorable fader, but since they do have a high rate of failure, we make no guarantees whatsoever that this will be the case, so buy at your own risk. At the very least, you’ll have parts donors. We’ve bought clones of the original vintage faders before and were disappointed with their quality - they just didn’t feel right. If your instrument still has its original faders, these would be a better option if you’re looking to match the feel of the originals, but again, there are no guarantees they’ll work properly once refurbished, so you’re taking that risk by buying these.
