Description: These two fascinating French maps of the Middle East are meant to represent (in the first case ) The extent of King Solomon's realm or the Kingdom of Israel overlaid on the 1824 map of the region including its cities and geographical features in the 19th c.. This map is 10 3/8" x 15 3/4". It has two foxed spots and probably has had some of its margins cropped. The second map again depict a Biblical version of the Holy Land but this time mainly with features mentioned in the Bible. This map was produced by the same cartographer (A.R. Fremin) in 1822. It is 10 1/4" x 15". It also has some cropped margins and some foxing. Stock number SA2C-367,368
