Description: 2 Holmegaards jars with lids can au lait. Two small jars with lids, designed by Michael Bang for Holmegaard, an important Swedish glass factory founded in1825. They have been in the possession of one person only, since being purchased in Stockholm,Sweden in the late 1970s anssg are in impeccable condition with no defects, chips or cracks and have never been used. The color can be described as “cafe au last” and is made up of two layers of glass: the inside layer is white and the outer layer of glass is a tan color. This is known as case glass and laying the tan over the white, creates a beautiful translucence with lots of sparkle.The lid is not case glass and is a deep chocolate brown. These little jars were designed to store spices, but can be used decoratively, or to store anything.They are offered as a set of 2 and will not be sold singly.Condition: Perfect with no scratches, chips or damage.
