Description: The world-famous Rosenthal porcelain manufacturer in Germany has been making its renowned MARIA WHITE service since 1916, adding and subtracting specific pieces as dining habits have changed. Its classic angular white style, with its pomegranate border, is perfect in any setting. Octangular platters, in various sizes, have been part of the MARIA WHITE service since the beginning. This platter with its draining rack, aka asparagus server, measures about 13.25” x 9.25” and weighs 2 lb. 8.7 oz. The top perforated rack by itself, shown here and being sold with the platter (I will not separate them), measures about 11” x 7”, weighs 1 lb. 6.8 oz. It fits perfectly inside the platter. The platter by itself weighs almost 1 lb. 2 oz. and is very versatile on its own, being the perfect size to serve almost anything! Both pieces are in excellent condition with NO evidence of use.
