Description: Two slabs of Native Michigan Copper in Basalt host rock. This is a pair of stone slabs from the same rock. There is a lightning streak of copper wire running through both rocks in pure basalt. There is a unique banding in the Basalt. I sanded this with 100, 220, 300 and 400 grit sandpaper and then hand rubbed multiple coats of natural shellac to protect the copper from oxidizing. This specimen may still show some signs of saw marks because I was careful not to sand too deep and sand off the copper and other visible minerals. These make great display specimens or can be cut for jewelry. These also make great gifts. See photos for weight and measurements. 7.55 oz combined. nativecopper116
