Description: Two Rare Vintage Oversize Soft-Cover books, Five Little Pussy Cats, Published 1940; and Sandman Stories To Read & Tell, published 1943 These are two wonderfully illustrated soft cover books on linen type paper for the covers and the pages. The front color illustration on Five Little Pussy Cats is a hard to find version that was written by May Purnell, illustrated by Dorothy Purnell, and was published by Whitman Publishing in 1940. There is no author or illustrator named on the Sandman Stories book, which was published by Merrill Publishing Co. in 1943. The binding shows signs of wear on the lower left-hand corner and binding of Five Little Pussy Cats. There is only one very small defect on the lower right front corner of Sandman Stories. The pages and illustrations of both books are clear and bright. The books are considered over-size printed on linen-like paper.
