Description: 2 Vintage MOJONNIER MILK TESTING BOTTLE WITH ORIGINAL STOPPER Mojonnier Chicago1/2 pint Bottle was used to test the cream content of milk because some dairies would water down the milk so that they would have more to sell. Creameries took a sample of a dairyman's milk and tested it for the fat content and then paid them based on the results of that test. The small frosted circle on the back was used to write the number of the bottle and/or date. Condition: Has a couple of chips on the mouth, but nothing major, the larger one can be seen in the picture. There is some Mineral deposits or milk residue inside the bottle, so it will need to be cleaned. The rubber stopper is missing it's ring. Patent No 57479 on the bottle.
