Description: In commemoration of the upcoming 60th anniversary on 11/22/2023 of President John F. Kennedy's assassination in Dallas on November 22nd, 1963, we are listing several JFK paper items of possible interest to collectors. These two, 3.5" x 8.5" four-fold paper pamphlets are quite similar in getting people to vote for democrats. The red one has a photo of John Kennedy and uses quotes from his 1961 Inaugural Address, so it IS NOT from 1960, but was likely done for the 1962 off-year election to keep Congress blue. The blue pamphlet is from Pennsylvania and mentions President Lyndon B. Johnson, so it could be from either 1964 or 1966. By 1968, LBJ was so unpopular because of the Vietnam War that he dropped out of the running for the nomination, so why would anyone want to use him to make a case for voting democrat? The 1960 election pitted democrats Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson against republicans Richard M. Nixon and Henry C. Lodge. When the results came in it was so close that it was basically a tie, with JFK at 49.72% to Nixon's 49.55%. Even with all the voting irregularities surrounding the totals across the country, Nixon decided not to challenge the election and conceded the following afternoon. Think how history could have been dramatically changed if Nixon had challenged and then prevailed. No Dallas tragedy, exactly 60 years ago, and also no Watergate. This is in nice condition but please look at our images to judge things for yourself so you can be happy with your purchase. You see the red one had been put up with a thumb tack and has a torn corner. We are members of APIC and sell only authentic presidential (and other collectible) material so buy with confidence. We'll be happy to combine S & H costs on multiple purchases even though eBay claims we don't. We just issue a refund for any overpayment. Shipping on this will be $5.50 with tracking. 8052
